What 294 RevOps job posts ask for in 2026

Directors are a quarter of the market, forecasting is in half the posts, and the CRM split is dead even.

By the RevOps All-Stars team · 6 October 2026

A quarter of the RevOps job posts we tracked between 3 May and 5 October 2026 were for a director, head or VP. Of the 294 posts with RevOps in the title, 72 were director level, 119 were manager or lead, and 76 were analyst, specialist or coordinator, with the other 27 using titles that don't map to a level.

Managers are the biggest group. But one senior seat in every four posts is a lot, and other trackers see the senior end growing. PredictLeads counted Director of Revenue Operations postings rising from 36 to 53 from one 30-day window to the next, ending 5 September, while Sales Operations Specialist postings fell from 247 to 54. PredictLeads reads that as RevOps consolidating into fewer, more senior roles. We only have one five-month snapshot, so we can't confirm the trend from our side.

Our posts come from LinkedIn and job boards, mostly from the US with a few from the UK and Australia. Each post gets summarized and its tool stack extracted when it comes in, and a tool or task counts when it shows up in the title, the summary or the stack. So every share below is a floor. A post that mentions SQL in paragraph nine might not get counted.

Forecasting is in half the posts

Building is the most common ask, forecasting isn't far behind, and the rest is a long tail of system upkeep. The table puts RevOps posts next to the 149 sales ops posts we tracked over the same months.

Work mentioned in the post RevOps (294 posts) Sales ops (149 posts)
Building something from scratch 68% 54%
Reporting 53% 67%
Forecasting 50% 46%
Pipeline management 48% 52%
Automation 41% 22%
Dashboards 39% 48%
Hands-on CRM admin 34% 44%
Deal desk, CPQ or quoting 24% 23%
Integrations 20% 5%
Lead routing 13% 10%

The two jobs overlap more than the titles suggest. Sales ops posts lean harder on reporting and admin. RevOps posts ask for more building: automation turns up nearly twice as often, and integrations four times as often.

Further down, data cleanup shows up in 17% of RevOps posts, territories in 16%, lifecycle stages in 13%. Commissions are in 6%. Lead scoring is in just 5%. AI agents or LLM work appears in 10% of posts, which is lower than all the talk about AI in RevOps would have you expect.

Salesforce and HubSpot are dead even

Salesforce was named in 58% of the RevOps posts and HubSpot in 57%. Nothing else comes close. Gong is third at 20% and Clay fourth at 13%. Zapier, n8n, Apollo and ZoomInfo all sit at 5% or 6%.

That split looks very different from the RevOps Careers analysis of 1,890 Q1 postings, which had Salesforce in 24% of posts and HubSpot in only 10%. The samples aren't the same. Only 21% of theirs were RevOps roles, with the rest spread across sales ops, marketing ops plus customer success ops, while ours are RevOps titles only. Our counting is also more generous, since a tool in the extracted stack counts even if the requirements section skips it.

SQL goes the other way. They found it in 11% of postings and we found it in 3%. A skill buried in a long requirements list is exactly what our method can miss, so treat our SQL number as an undercount.

For a company on HubSpot, HubSpot RevOps hiring is not a niche. In our sample it was named in as many RevOps posts as Salesforce was, so plenty of other companies are after the same people you are.

A fifth of posts print a salary

Only 61 of the 294 posts printed a salary range, about 21%. Across those, the median midpoint was $145,000 and the middle half ran from $118,000 to $175,000. By level the medians were $90,000 for analysts, $142,500 for managers and $175,000 for directors. Each of those rests on 18 or 19 salaried posts, which is a small sample, so don't budget off them alone. We put them next to a bigger study, with loaded costs, in what a RevOps hire really costs.

Glozo, looking at 2,211 US postings, found 43.1% disclosed pay and a RevOps median of $120,000. Our median is higher, and even our manager figure alone is above theirs, so the gap is more than a mix of levels. Different samples, different title filters. We'd trust the larger one for a market-wide number and ours for what RevOps posts in our sample are printing right now.

Glozo also reports 21.8 candidates per vacancy and an average posting life of 8.0 days. Lots of people apply and roles close quickly. Glozo says AI and automation skills carry a 47.3% pay premium, and in our posts AI work shows up in 10% while general automation shows up in 41%.

What the titles hide

The most common exact titles were Revenue Operations Manager (33 posts), Director of Revenue Operations (24), Revenue Operations Lead (19), Revenue Operations Analyst (18) and Revenue Operations Specialist (12). Another 10 were titled "Director, Revenue Operations", so directors account for two of the top six.

Our read, after going through the director posts, is that a fair few of them describe manager work. Building dashboards, cleaning the CRM, fixing routing, owning the forecast spreadsheet. We can't count that cleanly, so take it as an opinion. It matters because the median gap between a director and a manager in our data is $32,500 a year in base pay alone.

Who should hire what

If the person will run a team and defend the forecast to your CEO and board in US hours, hire a US-based director and pay for it. That job needs authority in the room, and it's hard to do well from the other side of the world.

If the post you're drafting reads like the middle of the table above, with routing and cleanup and quoting and a forecast someone has to keep honest, you need a strong operator with HubSpot or Salesforce depth. RevOps All-Stars places full-time RevOps specialists and admins from the Philippines and Latin America from $4K a month, all-in, with a free replacement if the fit is wrong.
